Description of Rise of the Undead (2013):
In the waning days of the Soviet Union, a Russian military officer orders the release of an experimental chemical weapon, even going so far as to murder one of her fellow officers to see that it is unleashed. The weapon is soon loose, turning those who are exposed to it into flesh-eating zombies. A young man hears and sees this unfolding disaster on the TV and radio. Society soon disintegrates, and the protagonist sets out for a safe haven,along with three of his friends. The allies travel across the continent, battling masses of zombies. However, they quickly find that the deadliest threats are the human ones.
