When it comes to Superhero films, it's hard to be unique. That being said, compared to other rehashed stories, this one at least felt genuine. The story of a man with no goal in life, no path to take; falling in love with a woman sets in motion a change that makes him a hero... And he even failed at that at first. Not to mention that he DOESN'T get the girl at the end.Granted, over the top villain, hero wins in the end, damsel in distress, all cliché. But the same can be said for ALL superhero movies. And while I am no fan of oddly placed music numbers, that is often the Bollywood tradition and style; much as Americans expect over the top antics in comedies thanks to actors like Adam Sandler, Jim Carry and Will Ferrel.Once you put the clichés aside, the story here is as honest as a child giving chocolates to a crush and being rejected. The acting is well done (aside from the villain's lines in the last fight scene), and the camera work was superb.If you like superhero movies, and you enjoy or at least don't mind Bollywood style, this is a movie I would recommend. Although, if there is a dubbed in English version, ignore it, dubbing never seems to do foreign films justice these days. Your opinions may be skewed just due to that.
