Description of Fire with Fire (2012):
After witnessing the brutal murders of a convenience store owner and his son; firefighter, Jeremy Coleman barely escapes with his life. I love a good Bruce Willis movie I really do. What was he thinking when he read the script? He must have noticed all the nonsense, he MUST have. Perhaps he was helping a buddy or something because Bruce has wealth to spare and he also has a large ego (I know he used to) and wouldn't knowingly risk ridicule so I think a large marker was being called. Well, it's his scalp (get it? lol). So Willis is the odd man out because the rest are all high ranking 'B' list or low ranking 'A' list actors which is all that this strange B movie warrants. It's basically a cocktail of 'Backdraft' (for the fire action), 'Karate Kid' (how he rapidly learns everything with silly lessons and the inspirational dreamy voice-over at the end) and last but not least 'Law Abiding Citizen' (the moral compass and creativity) and if you've seen those you'll understand where I'm coming from.I'm not going to bore you with any more details 'cause you already know who's in it etc. so all I'll say is, it's kinda dumb but is not a bad action movie.
